3. The MB05 is one of the mildest Myler mouthpieces in terms of tongue pressure. The generously wide port allows room for the tongue to pass under the bit.
4. However, unlike the solid MB 33, the MB 05 collapses slightly although it does not fully rotate on to the tongue like a Level 1 or Level 2 mouthpiece.
5. This gives the mouthpiece more give and may apply some light tongue pressure although it works primarily off the lips and bars. The port on this mouthpiece is only 1 ¼” high, so it will apply little to no palate pressure.
6. Because the MB 05 offers such a high degree of tongue relief, the horse that goes well in this mouthpiece has a trustworthy and consistent disposition, and is trained to work off the leg and seat as well as the hands.
